The St. Patrick’s Day holiday has become an emblem of spring and all things Irish. A day for millions to wear their “St. Patty’s” attire and pinch those who neglect to wear green. City streets and festivals reverberate to the tunes of bagpipe bands, music, laughter and fun are matched with the aroma of freshly boiled corned beef and libations.
The 6th Annual Downtown Chandler St. Patrick’s Day Festival hosted by Murphy’s Law Irish Pub & Ale House promises day of Irish folklore and the color green—mythical green leprechauns, green shamrocks, green fingernails, green hair, green athletic jerseys, and green alcoholic drinks, among others.
On Saturday, March 15th Downtown Chandler will draw thousands of patrons while Murphy’s Law celebrates with its community in AJ Chandler Park (South). The Festival starts at noon and continues on until 12 a.m. At the end of the rainbow, patrons will enjoy a bounty of Irish good fortune with live entertainment, activities, traditional food, tons of beer and an abundance of green fun.
Murphy’s Law honors those that protect and serve our local communities and Nation. Active and retired military, fire and police will be our guests for 2014, “Brass Pass” privileges will be honored with the proper form of identification. This charity event will help raise funds for the Arizona Fire Service Pipe Band who provides memorial and funeral services for our fallen officers and firefighters, a tradition in the Irish community since the mid-1840s.
General admission to the Downtown Chandler St. Patrick’s Day Festival is $10; children accompanied by a paying adult under 12 are free until 5 p.m., VIP Tickets are $75 and includes entrance to the festival, entrance to the VIP Tent (21 and over only), 3 drink tickets (value up to $6/each), St. Patrick’s Day Survival Pack, $10 bounce back coupon to Murphy’s Law Irish Pub & Ale House on 3/16/14 and many other bounce back coupons to festival vendors and local businesses.
